Formed from a 1918 cooperative agreement between sales company Svenska Elektron AB and kerosene lamp maker Lux AB. Electrolux grew rapidly through mergers and acquisitions to become a world-class appliance manufacturer. This Swedish company is rated as the 2nd largest appliance manufacturer in the world, after Whirlpool.
